José Casalina, President

José Casalina graduated from Philadelphia University in 2001.  While at Philadelphia University, Mr. Casalina was elected as Senior Class President and the President of AIAS (American Institute of Architecture Students). Since graduating, Mr. Casalina has worked on residential, commercial, educational, hospitality, and healthcare projects. The projects have ranged from small 100sf residential additions to 250,000+sf casinos, hospitals, and hotels.

 

Outside of his professional work, Mr. Casalina spends a lot of time volunteering. He is a past member of the Architecture Alumni Advisory Board at his Alma Mater, Philadelphia University, for the School of Architecture and Built Environment. Other organizations Mr. Casalina was a member of are the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA), Community Design Collaborative (CDC), the Roxborough Development Corporation (RDC), Zoning committee member at the Central Roxborough Civic Association, The Roxborough Library, and the Friends of Gorgas Park. After residing in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, PA for over 10 years, Mr. Casalina and his family moved to the Glenside section of Abington, PA, a suburb located 8 miles north of Philadelphia. In 2015, when he relocated to Glenside, Mr. Casalina quickly started volunteering in his new neighborhood. Since then, he has been a volunteer at the Keswick Village Business Association (KVBA), and the Downtown Glenside Community Partnership (DGCP). In 2018, Mr. Casalina was appointed to serve on the Abington Twp Zoning Hearing Board for a 4 year term.
